Here are a few fun facts about the author of this blog:
1. My real name is Griffin. This evidently comes in part from an old Welsh word for “prince.”
2. I’m currently at Wheaton College, costing my nearest and dearest (as well as several distant and not-quite-as-dear scholarships) roughly $40,000 a year pursuing majors in Philosophy, Theological Studies, and possibly English Writing. With this degree, I want to be a rock guitarist/songwriter.
3. My favorite record is Jimmy Eat World’s Futures, and my favorite song is “23″ from that record, but my favorite band is the Alkaline Trio.
4. I want to grow up to be Chuck Klosterman…
5. …and date Natalie Portman.
6. I’m a Christian. Sometimes I actually attempt to live out all the glorious power in that name. And sometimes I really don’t care. I’m trying to make my life more of the former and less of, well, normalcy.
7. Some things that interest me include parliamentary debate, Tae Kwon Do, indievisionmusic.com, fantasy football, lucid dreaming, reading people’s blogs, Bible quizzing, Carson Sestili’s electronica, lateral thinking puzzles, lurking threads on absolutepunk.net, songwriting and movies starring John Cusack.
